Physiotherapy

We use only ACPAT Veterinary Physiotherapists at our practice, as we firmly believe that only the highest trained and qualified people should be involved in the treatment of your dog. ACPAT members are fully qualified Chartered Physiotherapists (MSCP's) who have also trained in physiotherapy and rehabilitation for animals

The purpose of physiotherapy is to restore and maintain mobility, function, independence and performance. Cases often treated by veterinary physiotherapists are: spinal problems, joint problems, injuries, neurological conditions, sports injuries and post surgical rehabilitation.

Physiotherapy may include: manipulation, soft tissue massage and mobilisation, electrotherapy (laser, TENS, magnetic field therapy, neuromuscular stimulation, ultrasound and more), myofascial release, trigger point therapy, functional exercises and client education.

Your dog may have been referred to our physiotherapist by your vet for physiotherapy, for a pre-hydrotherapy assessment, for a post-hydrotherapy assessment, or all of the above.

Treatment by our physiotherapist is often covered by pet insurance.
