Terms and Conditions
Before your session:
- You must have a veterinary referral letter, unless
you have been referred internally by one of our own
vets or our own physiotherapist. Please ask your vet,
if necessary, to fax us a referral letter, consenting
to your pet's hydrotherapy. Download a form here.
- Please always let your dog toilet before a hydrotherapy
session. If your pet fouls the water treadmill, we
will have to make a charge of £25 for additional cleaning
and filtering.
- Don't feed your dog just before (2hrs) a hydrotherapy
session.
- Be aware that the first session may only last a
short time, especially if your pet is anxious, unfit
or especially sensitive. We want to make sure your
pet's hydrotherapy session is as relaxed as possible
for maximum benefit.
- If you think your pet may benefit for some extra
encouragement in the treadmill, please bring a favourite
toy or some treats.
- Please do not use any flea treatment on your pet
within 24hrs before a session
General rules:
- We may need to shower your dog before and/or after
the hydrotherapy session, depending on coat condition
and weather. We may also need to dry your dog after
the hydrotherapy session. You may do this yourself
if you wish. If your dog requires a specific shampoo,
please bring this with you on the day of the session.
- We reserve the right to refuse treatment to any
dog.
- Please keep your dog under control and on a lead
at all times whilst at the surgery.
- Please be aware of the possibility of wet or slippery
floors when present in the hydrotherapy suite.
- Plastic overshoes may be worn at all times by clients
entering the hydrotherapy suite, if you so wish.
- Please make the hydrotherapist is aware of any
circumstances in your pet's health or condition which
may have changed since the first hydrotherapy session.
Please make the hydrotherapist aware of any previous
or current ear or eye conditions your pet may be suffering
from.
After your session:
- Don't feed your dog just after (1 hour) a hydrotherapy
session.
- Please fill in one of our survey forms at the end
of your pet's session or series of sessions.
You can't bring a dog for a hydrotherapy session:
- When a bitch is in season.
- When he/she is suffering from any contagious disease
or condition, like dermatitis / mange / kennel cough
/ fungal skin disease / ear and eye conditions etc.
